![]() ![]() She suggested I call the bank in the morning and have them put a note on my account for alerts if any attempts to open another account happen. I then phoned that company's card (different) 800# and they verified that Elan was NOT connected to them, nor was the Fargo address, nor phone number. ![]() I think they have old card info and can easily get new addresses using credit checks, then they just need the missing pieces. I think even though she was American it was a fishing expedition to put pieces together. I did give that, and she pulled up a card, miraculously it WAS that bank, saying it was older, gave me the year and that was probable! She asked if I could verify my birthdate and I refused. She said maybe she could find something with my phone number. She said they did not have business with them and apologized, saying there wasn't much else she could offer. She asked which card I was calling about, I said X card (knowing full well that is a local one and isn't platinum). She asked my name but said I was NOT in their system. ![]() She said Elan Financial Services and they did transactions for many bank branches.
